Rising Sales of Hyundai’s Mid-Size Cars in China
World known Hyundai Motor Co. and its associate Kia Motors Corp. recorded the growing sales of mid-size cars in China this year.
Hyundai and Kia, sold a combined 66,377 units of the Sonata and the K5 in China in the first 7 months of the year, which was close to previous year's full-year shipments of 67,904 vehicles.
In the January -July period, Hyundai's sold 49,590 units of its Sonata sedan while Kia's sales reached 16,787 units.
Hyundai's mid-size cars sales comprise 11.9 percent of total sales in China as of the end of July, compared with 9.2 percent for last year.
The increased sales of mid-size cars are likely to help raise the profitability of both Hyundai and Kia Motors Corp.
