Hyundai Sonata Hybrid No Match for Sonata Series

Hyundai Sonata Hybrid No Match for Sonata Series

The Sonata Hybrid was launched by Hyundai among five other new models of the Sonata brand. All these new models by Hyundai are targeting the low and zero emissions market.
The non-hybrid Hyundai sedans are at least $3,000 to $6,000 cheaper than the hybrid Sonata. Many also feel that the gas-electric hybrid technology is over hyped but the main pitfall of this model is that it fails to deliver where other non hybrid versions have delivered. The success of the Hyundai Sonata series can be attributed to the exterior and interior styling which was very attractive and appealing in the mid-size family sedans. The four cylinder engine delivers 200hp and 186 foot pounds of torque and gives a mileage of 24 miles per gallon in the city and 35 miles per gallon on the highway.
The new Hyundai Sonata Hybrid offers nothing new except the latest lithium polymer battery and the car struggles at high elevations and is slow on the pickup in the lowlands too.
